I started my journey in Seido Kan Karate at age 17 when I returned to Okinawa. My instruction began under the supervision? of Sensei Dave Bardi and Sensei Shian Toma. I also received instruction under Sempai Donnie Hayhurst, Sensei Glenn Capistrant, and Sensei Ron Nix. I received my rank in Shodan and had to leave Okinawa prior to being able to test for the rank of Nidan. I trained from 1993 - 1996 in Okinawa.

When I acheived the rank of Shodan, under the supervision of Sensei Glenn Capistrant and with permission of Sensei Shian Toma, I was allowed to train Karateka from the age of 3-5 as an instructor. I had my own students to prepare for their jounrey through Sensei Glenn Capistrant's class.

When I arrived in Florida, I continued my martial arts journey at a Tae Kwon Do school for a year and then I joined Earl Harris Karate to continue training. The instructors at each school inisisted I retain my rank from Seido Kan Karate. I assisted in classes while I was there, but I felt after a year that my trainng would be best on my own. Recently a Seido Kan Karate dojo has opened up nearby and I will return when I am able to.
