About Me

Joe and I spent 8 years in Okinawa from 2000-2008, but didn't get involved in Nix Karate Dojo until 2004.? We received our black belts the last month we were stationed there.? This time in our lives was the best and we pray every day to return to our home in Okinawa!

Hello Joe & Heidi, I also studied Seidokan with Sensei Nix & Sensei Toma. I received my Shodan in 1996 when I left Okinawa. It would be great to be able to get together with other trainees and go over some katas and techniques. I currently live in Shalimar. At times I go down to Tampa and visit Paul Sadwick at his dojo. He is a very friendly guy and very willing to work out and open up his dojo to anyone. Sensei Hayhurst has also help me grow tremendously when it comes to our Seidokan History and you have to be careful with his toide he's quick. It would be nice if we would get together and organize some kind of internal seminars within Florida. Let me know if any of this interests you.

Hello Joe and Heidi. I am trying to look at who is in the Florida area and find the Seidokanka and eventually get all of us organized to a twice a year seminar to share, compare, and keep our skills up. I just left after doing one in Lutz/Tampa FL and returned to my Texas work project that pays the bills. If you two would like to be a part of the Florida Dojo, we would live to have you. My student Paul Sadwick is doing well in Lutz and we hope to be of service to the entire Florida Seidokan Community. Just let me know and ask any questions you have. I am doing this because we lost so many Seidokanka who came back to the states after training in Okinawa... we just do not want to loose any more. If I can be of service in your own goals just ask. Be well and enjoy the remainder of your day.
