Hello my name is Chris Ballew. I am the father of Bret Ballew of Yama Bushi Karate in Blairsville Georgia. Bret has been a student of Sensei Ron Wallace since 2008. He was 4 years old when he started Karate. In March 2012, shortly before his 8th birthday he received his Seidokan black belt. Karate has been one of the best things to have Bret engaged in. It keeps him in shape and actually has helped him to excel at other sports like football and baseball. He has made many friends while in karate and really enjoys the time spent working out and especially sparring with fellow students. The Yama Bushi dojo has prepared Bret for many victories while competing in sport karate tournaments including two World Championships at Battle of Atlanta and the Gator Nationals. He also enjoyed two overall championships with the International Karate Circuit. Most of all I am thankful that Bret is involved in Seidokan karate for the respect and confidence that he has learned while a student. I am certain that these character building traits will give him a solid foundation to face the challenges that life will bring.?
