Are you a member of the Okinawa Seidokan Community with a direct linage back to Shian Toma?
Yes
Please state the name of the Seidokan Dojo where you are a member and your lineage back to Sensei Shian Toma. Thank you.
The Seidokan Dojo I attended was also the home of Sensei Toma just outside Gate Two of Kadena AB. I earned my 3rd Kyu Brown Belt on Nov 23 1985 but never had an Okinawan Dojo near my duty stations until I returned to Okinawa in 1995, the last time I saw Sensei Toma. Upon returning, I had three young children and 'a Shop to run' which precluded me from accepting an invitation to return to Dojo, to my regret. While seeking to share Sensi Toma with Seifu Ruberto, I learned he'd just passed away; he and I worked together in the 18th Transportation Squadron, Sensei Toma was a hard working, strong, talented and humble man.
